August Small Talk

BIBLE STORY SUMMARIES:
WEEK 1
Numbers 13-14
Moses sent 12 spies, including Joshua and Caleb to spy out the Promised Land. They came back with a good report but only Joshua and Caleb trusted God.
WEEK 2
Jonah 1:1-17
God told Jonah to take a message to Nineveh. Jonah told God no and got on a boat. He was running from God, but God knew he was on that boat.
WEEK 3
Jonah 1:17-3:3
God sent a storm to get Jonah's attention. Jonah was thrown into the sea. God sent a great fish to swallow Jonah. Jonah sat in the belly of the fish and prayed to God. The fish spit out Jonah onto dry land.
WEEK 4
Jonah 3:1-10
God made the great fish spit Jonah out onto dry land. God told Jonah again to go to Nineveh. Jonah obeyed God and took His message to Nineveh. The people of Nineveh repented and loved God.

July Story Time!
July Small Talk
Here's a review of what we're doing in July!

BIBLE STORY SUMMARIES:
WEEK 1
Genesis 6:8-22; 7:1-24
God tells Noah and his family to build an ark because He is going to destroy the world with water.
WEEK 2
Genesis 8:1-9:17
God keeps His promise to Noah. Noah, his family and the animals on the ark are all saved from the flood. God makes a rainbow as a sign of His promise to never flood the world again.
WEEK 3
Judges 7:1-8
God tells Gideon which men in his army can stay and fight and which ones have to leave. Gideon is left with a very small army.
WEEK 4
Judges 7:9-22
God helps Gideon win the battle with a small army. Their only weapons are horns, torches and jars.
WEEK 5
2 Kings 5:1-14
Naaman goes to see the prophet Elisha to get his leprosy healed. He has to dip in the water and trust that God will heal him.
